Who holds the world record for the longest solo kayaking expedition?
Benjamin Wade claims to have crossed the Pacific from Mexico to Columbia alone in a kayak. I have not been able to find any record of that. The only source for this amazing feat is Benjamin Wade. Is this a true world record?

A guy called Coach. He was on survivor and it is documented there. However there is some contention about this answer arising from the credibility of the source. For example Coach also clams to have been held captive by Amazonian pygmy warriors while kayaking the Amazon. I personally had a part time job as a pygmy warrior at the time of the alleged attack and heard nothing of it. It is reported that the Amazon online shopping corporation is suing coach for defamation.

Ed Gillet has crossed from the Pacific from California to Hawaii, and Peter Bray has crossed the Atlantic from Newfoundland to Ireland.
If you also consider expeditions that aren’t purely long open-water crossings, then Paul Caffyn’s 9420-mile circumnavigation of Australia is the longest.
