Which kayak would be good for me?
I’m 16 and got into kayaking nearly 3 years ago and love it, I like to try all the differant techniques from river to playboating and I am joining a Kayak Polo team.
But the problem is…I’m almost 6ft3 and still growing, (in comparison I was 6foot in November. So I would need a pretty big kayak.
I think I would like a type of pyranha kayak because they are easy for all rounders and I can still use (most of them) as playboats.
So anyone any ideas or had experiance with tall guys and kayaks?
Oh two more things,
1, I hate being cramped in a boat, completely makes me uneasy, I like leg room!
2, I’m rather skinny.

The best thing to do before buying any type of kayak, whether it’s a touring, whitewater or rec boat, is to go to the demo days at the local paddling shops and try the boats out in the water. Narrow the list of the best fitting kayaks to less than five, then go to kayaking sites like paddling.net or paddlestrokes.com and READ the reviews for those models. Reviewers usually include their height and weight in the kayak review so pay special attention to their likes and dislikes.
