   The Prodigy is a better quality boat (Perception makes good kayaks — the other boat is a funky "off" brand.) It is also 15% lighter and has a better hull design and built-in foam flotation. Both boats are sluggish but stable. Better for sitting and fishing or floating down a moving stream. Expect a workout if you try to paddle any distance — the Prodigy would track a little bit better.

   Like I said in your other question — invest in a good lightweight paddle with a fiberglass shaft (at least 230 or 240 cm since either boat is so wide.) You’ll be really glad you did.
