i installed my transducer in-hull and it doesnt work. I suspect it may be because I pressed my transducer to the bottom of the hull instead of making it float in the adhesive.(as mentioned in the video)

Nix: You are correct as to why your transducer didnt work. The slightest bit of air between the bottom of the boat and the transducer will give you an incorrect reading.

It is very important not to have any air bubbles in the goop. This will cause the unit not to read. I also mount mine in the rear of the yak. That part of the boat is always in the water.

Isn’t that a Prowler Big Game? Those are designed to accept scupper hole transducers. Is there a reason why one shouldn’t?
