Is there an age restriction on kayaking in public water without an adult?
Me and my friends want to go kayaking in the summer without adults but we are not sure if we are allowed on ‘public waters’ i.e. river, canal, without an adult. Thanks.

I don’t really know all the American requirements but there may be some sort of small craft certification requirement for that. I don’t think there is an age limit to do that though, but you’d have to look into getting the certificate.

it changes based on states. i know in NJ you must be 14 to operate a non motored boat under 14 feet on public waters
