Hard to say exactly, It all depends on the size of the fish you are catching and the style you fish. Head to you local tackle shop and ask them for recommendations for the local fishery.
I was using a Shimano Core reel on a Callcutta Rod. I use 20lb braid with a top shot of what ever the appropriate flouro is needed for the fish I am targeting
i just returned two 20$ baitcatsers to walmart for a 40$ openface, caz i got frustrated. lol this helped alot. maybe ill buy better caster this time tho. the other had 1 bearing system. i dindt have 60$ at the time for one good one. but thank you
