<description>Algonquin Park is known for canoe tripping but if you plan well you can kayak there too. Just stay away from portages as portaging kayaks will lead to back pain. If you must portage them maybe you should look at a canoe trip instead.

The best lake for Kayaking is Lake Opeongo. Algonquin's largest lake. the outfitters that is located right on the lake is Algonquin Outfitters (www.algonquinoutfitters.com) and they do have several kayaking day trips that you can book to see moose, fish or just explore the lake. They also offer a water taxi service so they can drop you off and pick you up anywhere on the lake.

Algonquin Outfitters also rents kayaks. Their website has lots of information. Maybe too much information and you do not have to pay for a brochure you can just download it for free.

See this link on their website
http://www.algonquinoutfitters.com/ct/dt5.html

You can download their free rental rates brochure here
http://www.algonquinoutfitters.com/grt/pdf/ao_rates.pdf

And you can see the rental pricing line here
http://www.algonquinoutfitters.com/grt/2.html

You will need a park pass that you can get here
