Took my wife and her brother and his wife for a trip down the Holston River in Mendota, Virginia. I told them that “you wouldn’t have to paddle except to steer”. That is pretty much how they did it! It was a great time and if you look, you can see an eagle flying out of the trees right at the front of the video.

What stretch or stretches of the river are you floating? I thought i recognized a few spots but I am not sure. My family has floated and fished the North Fork of the Holston for 40 years. I liked the video.
This was just above Mendota. I am thinking we put in just by a swinging bridge about 4 miles above the Bridge that is just outside of the town of Mendota on this trip. I think we Kayaked 4 times this past year in various different starting points and always stopped there on the bridge.
Yes…Now I am sure that I recognize some of the scenes. My mom and dad live on swinging bridge road…kind of in between the two swining bridges. Thanks for the reply!
