I went kayaking for 3 hours (180 minutes) but i’m not sure how many calories i burned because different websites tell me different things. I need to know because i ate a lot of snacks. I also canoed for 15 minutes going really fast and steering. I was thinking 600 calories? I ate around 1500!

Okay I know this one requires some work but I wanted to try to come up with the hottest female olympic athletes in each category. After that we can do in the whole olympics combined. This goes for all the sports. If you are gonna get mad that it’s sexist, sorry but you can do one for the men if you want. Girls if you don’t like doing the hottest just do the prettiest. I have never had the opportunity to actually sit in a kayak but it looks like it might be stressful on the lower back because you have to sit up straight with no back support. I only ask because I had a lower back injury at one time and I am worried that kayaking might irritate the old injury. I really would like to give it a try though because it looks like tons of fun. I’m looking to buy my first kayak, however, there-in lies the dilemma.

I can tell you that the main use for it will be lake and slow river cruising. I suppose I’d rather have a better tracking kayak, which from my understanding is a longer model?
Anyways, I need ideas of cheaper kayaks that would fit my needs. I’m looking for ones preferably under 0, but I want to try to find one with a sleeker frame rather than the usual bulky plastic design i’ve been seeing online (if that’s even possible for that price-range).

I will be planning trips in the Southeastern US.

Hi- I’m looking for an open water kayak at least 13 feet long. I’m 6′ 2" but much of that comes from my legs. I have a 14′ foot kayak right now that almost has enough leg room but after a couple of hours of bent knees I start to feel a little cramped.

Also, a while back someone told me about a brand of kayak which has an incredibly comfortable seat. I can’t remember the brand but they said they built it for their white water kayak and it was such a hit they put it in their sea kayaks as well. Can’t remember the name.
