Is kayaking a good way to flatten the stomach?

July 10th, 2010 |

I am at the lake for a month visiting family, and they have kayaks I can use. I thought I could kayak for about an hour a day. Is this a good way to burn off lower and all over belly fat? I want to take advantage of this benefit if it is one.

Thanks!

washington state?

July 10th, 2010 |

I just went to Washington state at a suburb outside of Seattle and it was the most beautiful place I have ever been too and I have been to man nice places like Hawaii, Maui and Mexico. I stayed at my Aunt’s house and the air was fresh, they had tons of tall green trees and we could do tons of outdoors activities. U can go to places that are really private like walking there labs hiking in the trails, there’s mountains, mountain biking, kayaking, shooting guns, and swimming in the many lakes there. It’s awesome and u can go into town where there are many nice shops and restaurantes. I REALLY WANT TO MOVE THERE! I live in stupid Illinois a suburb outside of Chicago and the only outdoors thing to do is go to lake michigan which gets old. Any way’s what do u guys think of washington and what is ur favorite U.S.?

Stressing life. What is next for me…. ?? ://?

July 8th, 2010 |

I’m only 12 years old, almost 13 on July 16th.
But my life is so stressful. I make everything harder then it really is.
Periods are one of the stressful things in my life..
A while ago on Aprill 22nd, worst day of my life, I think my period really did start. That has scarred me until today.
I had the chance to goto a waterpark which I was waiting for for about 1-2 years with a friend. But I didn’t go, too scared of periods. So that day when everybody was having fun, I was inside working on a math project.
At my neighbor’s sons graduation party, it was like a pool party, and I LOVE my neighbor’s pool. But I didn’t go in.
Because I was too scared of my period starting..
Since April 22nd, I’ve been wearing pads, 3-4-5 set of underware.
I started wearing my gymnastics shorts and swimming suit under my clothes incase my period might start, nobody would know, and it wouldn’t shock me.
But the thing is, no blood happend, well noticable through all this time.
But now to this day, I fear, it’s coming up, I already waisted a section of my childhood worrying. Stressing, fearing.

I worry about this everyday. And one of my friends is going to invite me to her birthday party in about 13 days, kayaking. In the water.
I bet i’d just miss it in fear of my period..
On the 16th of July, my birthday party is coming.
Pool Party. I don’t know what i’d do.. I’m just stressing.
Why is it so hard to be me!?!!?!?

I also stress on my bday party because I am going to invite 9 of my friends, so 10 including me I am going to invite, and hopefully all have a sleepover and fun.
But I’m nervous most of my friends would be out of town or on vacation.
I only know kinda that 6 of my friends can make it to this date.
I worry about this, too, what if my birthday all goes wrong!??!
What if my period starts because I stress so much!?!?!

I just feel useless, and I just want to go back in time and change everything, my eating habits, excersize plans, my life.
So I would not have a period..

I remember and I still do, I wish on eyelashes, times, wishes, stars, that "I wish I would never start my first peroid until I am 17 years old.".
17 is my lucky number, FROM THAT.

I just feel depressed it’s getting in the way of my gymnastics dreams, swimming, waterparks, fun, summer, beaches, vacations..

WHY CAN’T MY LIFE BE EASY!?????????????????????????
my heart hurts when I do this.
my heart hurts when I do this.
never kissed a guy other than my dad so no. I never had a boyfriend.
never kissed a guy other than my dad so no. I never had a boyfriend.

Can anyone please help me?

July 6th, 2010 |

I am 20 years old and I have no clue what I want to do for the rest of my life. I have goals but they are not the type that make me money in fact they do just the opposite. I have served in the US Army Infantry where I was shot and discharged by evil SGTs. I was given an award letter from my congressman over it but that is it I even had to give up my benefits.

I have attend college and while I pulled a 4.0 with ease it just isn’t something I enjoy at all I hate wasting time and I need to see a return on my efforts in real time not delayed.

I am 6′2 150 lbs and in great shape. I love to write novels and I have written 4 so far but I do not publish them for they are not worthy of it. I love to be active more than anything.

I love the outdoors and animals and going on camping trips and kayak trips are the best. I once made a 9 foot tall circular hut out of trees I cut down and stuck in the ground in this trench I made then filled it with cement so that one foot of the wood was firmly in the ground.

I have built many things out of wood including a gun cabinet with drop shelves that can raise or lower 4 feet by moving the pegs and metal lip.

I have been jobless for 4 months now and finding work in my small town and I do mean small town is hard. On top of that most jobs around here pay only 7.15 an hour.

I want to travel and see the world, I have traveled the US by train which was fun except the three days without showering you have to deal with.

I can’t re-enlist even though I am medically fit to serve, the Army has closed my window for Re-Enlistment until I change my code. I could easily do this by submitting the Pentagon’s report on the investigation that occurred on my behalf at Ft. Benning GA. But that could take at least 2 months to a year to fix so again I will lay idle for up to a year.

I have moved once already after the Army to San Fran where I was approached to be a model for abercrombie and fitch. I did that for a while but bills were too much and I wasn’t making enough to be comfortable.

What on earth am I to do? Lately I just lay in my bed and don’t want to get up and when I get to my computer I usually have nothing I want to do so I go back and lay down, its sad. I only eat 500 calories a day now cause I have no money and I am trying to make whats left in my cupboard last. Which sadly is now down to 12 packages of Ramen Noodles. I had a can opener and it broke and now I am without that and so my food supply has dropped to half.

So I will leave asking what on earth am I to do?

Grand River Kayaking, Elora Gorge, Ontario, Canada

July 5th, 2010 |

Kayaking is the use of a kayak for moving across water. Kayaking is generally differentiated from canoeing by the fact that a kayak has a closed cockpit and a canoe has an open cockpit. However, there are many sit-on-top kayaks, and these boats are growing in popularity. They also use a two bladed paddle. Another major difference is in the way the paddler sits in the boat. Kayakers sit in a seat on the bottom of the boat with their legs extended out in front of them. Canoeists will either sit on an elevated bench seat or kneel directly on the bottom of the boat. Whitewater kayaking involves taking a kayak down rapids. Sea kayaking sometimes also referred to as Ocean Kayaking involves taking kayaks out on to the ocean or other open water ie a lake. Sea kayaking can involve short paddles with a return to the starting point or “put-in” or expeditions covering many miles and days. Kayaking of all kinds has continued to increase in general popularity through the 1990s and early 21st century. Kayaks are classified by their intended use. There are five primary classifications: whitewater, surf, touring/expedition, light touring/day tripping and general recreation. From these primary classifications stem many sub-classes. For example, a fishing kayak is simply a general recreation kayak outfitted with features and accessories that make it an easier kayak to fish from. Also within these classifications are many levels of performance which further separate the individual models. In
